What should a sports injury tracker record?
A sports injury tracker records each injury against the athlete: the date, the body area, whether it happened in a game or training, the type and diagnosis, how it happened and whether it is a recurrence. It then follows the injury from active to return to play to cleared, so you can see who is available and how many days each injury has cost.
Squad injury log
Add up to three athletes, log their injuries the way the Fractall app does, and see who is out, who is working back and who is available.
Step 1
Log the injury
Pick the body area on the body map, then add the date, game or training, type, diagnosis, how it happened and whether it is a recurrence.
Step 2
Move it through return to play
Mark the injury RTP when the athlete starts working back, then cleared when they are available again.
Step 3
Read the availability board
Injuries group by active, RTP and cleared, with days out on each one. Days out runs to the cleared date, stops at the RTP date until then, and counts to today while the injury is open.

Sports injury tracker FAQ
Is this sports injury tracker free?+
Yes. You can add up to three athletes and log their injuries without creating an account. Adding a fourth athlete asks you to start a Fractall trial, which removes the limit and keeps the history.
What does the tracker record for each injury?+
The body area, picked on a body map, the date, and whether it happened in a game, in training or somewhere else. Then the type (muscular, joint, ligament, tendon or bone in this demo), the diagnosis (strain, sprain, tear, contusion, overload or other), whether it was indirect non-contact or direct traumatic, whether it is a recurrence, and your own notes.
What is the difference between RTP and cleared?+
RTP means the athlete has started return to play and is working back towards full training. Cleared means they are available again. While the injury is still active, the athlete is out.
How are days out counted?+
Days out runs from the injury date to the cleared date. Until the injury is cleared, the count stops at the RTP date, and with no RTP date yet it runs up to today. That is the same rule the Fractall app uses.
Does this injury tracker predict or prevent injuries?+
No. It records what happened and where each athlete is in their return. There is no risk score or forecast in it.
How is this different from the body pain map?+
The body pain map collects what athletes report each day: where it hurts and how much, from 1 to 5. This tracker holds the record your staff keep once something becomes an injury, with a diagnosis, a status and days out. In the full Fractall product, the pain an athlete reported in the seven days before an injury is attached to that injury record.
Can this replace an injury tracking spreadsheet?+
This demo keeps nothing after you close the page, so it can't hold a season. The full Fractall product keeps every injury record, counts days out for you, and attaches the athlete's ACWR and wellness from the week before each injury, which a spreadsheet only has if someone copies it in.
