How is training load calculated from session RPE?
Training load is session RPE (1–10) multiplied by session duration in minutes. Coaches collect ratings in a post-session RPE survey or check-in; Fractall turns those scores into live team training load without GPS or wearables.
Post-session RPE check-ins
After training, run a quick RPE survey: athletes rate perceived exertion from 1 to 10. Fractall multiplies each rating by session duration to calculate training load for every athlete and the squad total.
Step 1
Set session duration
Enter how long today's session lasted. The demo applies the same duration to every athlete so you can compare load on one training day.
Step 2
Collect session RPE
Tap each athlete, rate perceived exertion from 1 to 10, and add optional notes. In Fractall, athletes submit from their phone after every scheduled session.
Step 3
Review today's load
Team session load, RPE summary cards, and the submissions table update immediately. ACWR, monotony, and strain need weeks of history in the full product.

Training load & session RPE FAQ
How do you calculate training load from session RPE?
Multiply the athlete's RPE (1–10) by session duration in minutes. A 90-minute session rated 6 gives 540 load units. This is the Foster session-RPE method used across team sports.
When should athletes submit session RPE?
Within about 30 minutes after the session ends, while the effort is still fresh. Fractall sends a push notification after each scheduled session so athletes submit in seconds from their phone.
What RPE scale does this tool use?
The modified Borg CR10 scale from 1 (very light) to 10 (maximal). It matches the scale in the Fractall mobile app and coach insert-team-responses flow.
Why are ACWR, monotony, and strain locked in the demo?
Those metrics need multiple weeks of daily load history per athlete. This demo shows today's session load live. Sign up for Fractall to build ACWR, monotony, and strain automatically from every sRPE submission.
Do I need GPS or wearables for session RPE monitoring?
No. Session RPE captures internal load from perceived exertion alone. It works for any team sport and complements GPS when you have it, but does not require hardware.
Is this the same RPE form athletes use in Fractall?
Yes. The RPE slider and load formula match the Fractall mobile check-in. The full product adds push reminders, multi-week trends, ACWR alerts, and unlimited athletes.
Does the demo save my data?
No. Everything stays in your browser for this session. Sign up for Fractall to store load history, export reports, and share data with your coaching staff.
